Albert P. Behler is President and Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Group, Inc. in New York. Paramount and its European affiliates are one of the largest privately owned real estate, acquisition, redevelopment and management firms. In 1973, Mr. Behler joined Thyssen Handelsunion AG and spent a large part of his career at Thyssen entities. Albert Behler holds several prominent board leadership positions including Co-Founder and former Member of the Board of Summit Bank Corporation in Atlanta and Chairman Emeritus and Member of the Executive Board of the Association of Foreign Investors in U.S. Real Estate (AFIRE), Washington, D.C. Additionally, he is a member of: The Real Estate Roundtable in Washington, D.C.; the Board of Governors - Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY); the Urban Land Institute; the American Council on Germany’s Business Advisory Committee; Director of the Realty Foundation of New York; the Advisory Committee and the Executive Committee of The Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie Real Estate Center of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; the Executive Committee of Greenprint Foundation and on the Board of Trustees at The Arthur F. Burns Fellowship. Mr. Behler studied law and economics in Germany and holds an Executive MBA degree from Georgia State University, Atlanta.
