    Education

    In 1974 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineering named after VP Goryachkin.


    Professional background

    In 1978 he was appointed director of the State Farm Gruzdovsky. In 1985, nominated by the Chief District Office of Agriculture, a few months later was elected first secretary Mosalskogo District Party Committee. Served in this position for about six years.

    In 1991, Anatoly D. moved in Obninsk, where he soon became executive director of the Obninsk construction and industrial company.

    In November 1996, Anatoly D. Artamonov elected vice-governor of the Kaluga region. Initiative, ability to correctly solve the problems facing the region, the ability to bring in people personal sympathy, to rally them around and send to the common goal - these qualities mark even his critics.

    Held on 12 November 2000 election, AD Artamonov was elected governor of the Kaluga region. For him, voted 56.72 percent of voters.

    March 14, 2004 AD Artamonov elected governor of the Kaluga region for a second term. For it gave their votes to 66.86% of voters.

    22 July 2005 in accordance with the new order of formation of the executive authorities of the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin made a nomination, AD Artamonov to the Legislative Assembly of Kaluga region for providing him with the powers of Governor.

    July 26, 2005 deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the extraordinary session by an overwhelming majority decided to confer.

    AD Artamonov authority of the Governor of Kaluga region to a new five-year term.
