    Bernhard Scholz is a Member of the Management Board of pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank and is responsible for Real Estate Finance and Public Investment Finance.

    Having completed his university studies of economics and philosophy with a doctorate, Scholz started his professional career in 1985, as a management consultant.

    He joined Munich-based Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank AG in 1990 – which subsequently merged into Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG (HVB), where he was appointed Senior Risk Manager. In 2001 Bernhard Scholz assumed responsibility for the bank's business with professional real estate investors for northern and eastern Germany. He subsequently served as Head of Restructuring and Workout at HVB Real Estate (a predecessor institution of pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank). From 2004 to 2009 Scholz was a Member of the Management Board of Münchener Hypothekenbank eG. Until 2006 he was responsible for credit, workout and IT and then following for commercial and private real estate.

    Dr Hans Volkert Volckens studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Munich.After working for an international law firm and an investment bank, he moved to Beiten Burkhardt in 2000, where he was employed as a legal practitioner, tax consultant and lawyer specialising in tax law. From 2005 until leaving the company, he was an equity partner and headed the tax and funds department.

    From 2008 to 2011, Dr Volckens was a manager at Hannover Leasing GmbH & Co. KG. From here, he briefly moved to IC Immobilien Holding AG.Since 1 October 2011, Dr Volckens has been the CFO of IVG Immobilien AG.

    Dr Volckens is the Chairman of the Tax Committee of ZIA (Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss e.V.), is a member of the World Economic Forum’s “Global Agenda Council on Financing & Capital” and is also Head of the Board of Directors of the Initiative Corporate Governance der deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft e.V.

    Dr. Hauke Brede is Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Executive and Investment Committee of Allianz Real Estate (ARE).

     Dr. Brede left the University of Bamberg as Diplom-Kaufmann (German MBA equivalent) and received his Ph.D. from the University of Berne (CH). Before he joined ARE, he was Director at the US consultancy Gen3 Partners (Boston), Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group (Munich) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Risk Management Hypo Group (Munich). He is currently also serving as Chairman of INREV’s Public Affairs Committee.

    Miriam Karg is project leader at Heuer Dialog GmbH and is therefore responsible for agenda setting and speaker invitations for several conferences and seminars in Germany for the real estate industry. Before she joined Heuer Dialog, Miriam worked at Ernst&Young Luxemburg as an international marketeer for the real estate department. Miriam is a certified public relations expert and holds a bachelor degree in computer science.
