Łódź, which main asset are people, is a rapidly developing industrial, economic, intellectual and administrative centre of Poland.
The investors are attracted by Łódź due to its good location, the availability of modern office space, competitive costs of running a business activity, highly qualified personnel and a large number of graduates of universities. Łódź also offers investment incentives for the new companies. The volume of public assistance in Łódź stays at the level of up to 70%.
Recently, the city’s potential has been given by international media as an example of an investor-friendly city which "skillfully avoids" global recession. According to the ranking of Forbes Magazine 2010, Łódź is the third most attractive Polish city for business. In 2012, The New York Times announced that Łódź, called “The Hollywood of Poland”, was listed among fifty places in the world worth visiting.
